  • The production value and watchability of your videos is so high, it actually sucks when u start using random book quotes for bs theories that make 0 sense and then make 3 more videos based on that wrong theory

  • you guys always take one or two bs statements and say "we view this as this" and then by the end of the video arthur dayne is fucking mance rayder, terrible analysis

  • If Tywin is so adamant that Tyrion is not his, and this is someone who is "diligent" and "tireless" and fiercely intelligent, then why has he not just claimed to the realm that someone raped Joanna and blame Tyrion on that person (doesn't have to be Aerys, though it would garner him the lesser amount of scorn and derision if it were him, as it's better for him to be "cuckolded" by a king than anyone else; can you really say "no" to a king?)?

  • This video and this theory are old for many of you, but for me it is a novelty because I am watching the series in 2020 kkkkkkkkk I am Brazilian, sorry for the mistakes in your language. Tywin was indeed a king, but if he had been the most intelligent he would not have died that way, sorry for those who think otherwise, but Tyrion was the BEST.

  • One of the things about machiavelli is that he really didn’t like monarchy.

  • I still can't believe the Darklyns would agree to take the king hostage though. Either they trust Tywin so much or they are idiots.

  • Tywin does bend.
When your enemies defy you feed them fire and steel. When they bend the knee help them to their feet lest no one kneel again.

Something like that. Tywin was somewhat flexible if you were sufficiently threatening and willing to work with him.

For a man on the top everyone is an enemy and an ally. Eradicating everyone for being potentially dangerous will leave no one left to serve.

  • I really disagree with the assessment of Tywin following the methods of the Prince. he followed through on the ways of evil far more and was seen as cruel and inhumane. this goes against the directives to appear as a goodly man and plays to far into fortuna though he did attempt with Robert to establish virtu he could not do it because he couldn't understand the most importantly truth of machiavelli, all things die.

  • Tywin may be a well-written character, but that doesn't exempt him from being an asshole. Tywin is one of the biggest assholes in the entire series. Catelyn gets shit for being mean to a kid who isn't hers, no one gives Tywin shit for being a dick to his very own son. Hypocrisy at its finest.

  • strange interpretation. If anything the quote regarding Tyrions parentage nails down that Tyrions parentage is the only one he is certain of. But that jamies and cereis end up hanging in the air instead.

Ofcourse questioning that openly he would prove Genna Frey correct.

  • If Tywin, Cao Cao, and Machiavelli himself sat down and talked that would be epic and worthy of a good few chapters of a book.

  • You inspired me to create a Video on Tywin and how he protects his reputation and legacy. I used your insights about how he spread the rumors about the king. Of course, i linked your contribution in the description of video. Keep up the good work! I'm a big fan and thank you so much.

  • Tywin was a monster. A clever monster but a monster none the less. Everything he did was about shoring up Lannister fortunes. Yet ironically he displayed no affection for. Any of his children. He used them as pawns in his ‘game of thrones’ and seemed to despise all of them (including Tyrion who is arguably his child).
He was as ruthless and cruel as Aerys just a whole lot more calculating. He never hesitated to lay waste to the Riverlands with his usual band of thugs. So what is to like? He reminds me of Vladimir Putin.
So the question should be ‘What is Tywin’s body count?’
And as for Machiavelli’s book – it is considered to be a satirical text about the actions of Cesare Borgia.

  • It's all about perspective. Tywin isn't even a villain if you look at it realistically, just an effective ruler. By all accounts the realm prospers under his direction and he does what needs to be done to secure peace in a world that requires ruthlessness to maintain that peace. He's a product of the world he lives in and really the best of the best. Neither Robert, nor Ned, nor anyone else could legitimately rule the entire realm as well as Tywin could. He's only the villain because the Starks are placed as the protagonists of the story from the start and Tywin is their antagonist. But from a Lannister point of view, Starks are a threat to the efforts of someone like Tywin because of their own set of views and approaches to things. And if Tywin creates a state that is peaceful and prosperous, it's not hard to see the Starks as the antagonists.
